Greetings!

I’m sorry for the lack of leadership, or in my case absence of, in this club so I’d like first apologize. Secondly I’d like to change some of the operations such as a different way to join. As well as watching the club you also need to note me, ~SailorCire, so this way I can respond faster and add you on the list. Another change I’d like to make is to have tutorials for beginners who have made the right choice to move from Vista or Leopard or for us to share Linux secrets with one another. If there are any takers on that then I’d like to have that submitted as a deviation with credits to the author, please note me to submit. If there are any suggestions for changes then please note the club, I plan to check every other Saturday. Have a lot of fun!

Kane told me I have to update more often so here I am I'll only update every weekend from now on, though. (That applies to you too Kane!) ^_^

Linux club still needs more female members! Better work on that! Hmm I think it's saying something i'm not happy with, too ~_~

I've been thinking that there needs to be a referral program, to assist Linux Club to grow, be heard, be seen and be recognised. I need some idea's regarding a referral program, if anybody has any please forward them to me - and I mean "what members get in return" wise.

Also, I decided that we could have (like Distrowatch) the top ten distros posted here. The top ten from there and the top ten from DA users would be interesting to compare.

And for the love of god, does anybody agree that this logo for Puppy linux is hideous? [link]

My father wishes not to change the logo, he thinks it has become the Puppy "icon" and people easily recognise it, but even so, a logo should..be remotely appealing, no?

If you agree it's ugly do tell me, and i'll forward thoughts to my dad, hopefully more opinions on the logo will assist in a better future for Puppy! Haha, though im sure it isn't a too big an issue. Still!

We would also quite like to raise awareness of the benefits of Linux to non Linux users. This will be achieved by highlighting the advantages and the few disadvantages to deviants. So we need some idea's as to how we should do that. Perhaps we could write some stuff in the journal or link up to websites? Send us your ideas.
Can all members please place reference to the club in their journal or signature to spread word about the club in an attempt to get a greater user base (This isnt a club requirement it would just be a good way of supporting the club)
